Jollibee in SG

One of the staple pasalubong or request from friends visiting or coming back from their annual leave (from PHL to SG) is the Jollibee Chicken Joy. It\’s truly nakakamiss because it\’s like no other. The taste is authentically Pinoy. Juicy meat, crispy skin, delectable gravy makes my stomach grumble with hunger.
When I was a kid, Jollibee is our happy place. It\’s just so fun to be there because aside from eating we get to play in their indoor playground. Mom even signed me up to the Jolly Kiddie Club and I get to receive newsletter every two months, if I\’m not mistaken.
Imagine our delight when we found out that Jollibee has opened. Yehey! It\’s about time! USA, Vietnam, Hongkong et.al. has been enjoying it for so long (even Anthony Bourdain has a say about it). Now it\’s Singapore\’s turn.
I heard that the first day it opened, the queue was CRAZY! I heard they don\’t close until 2 AM in the morning just to accommodate people who waited. What surprised me the most are the locals especially my colleagues at work would ask me about it. That made them curious. Good thing, Jolibee is Halal-certified so our  Malay brothers and sisters can enjoy it as well.
I can say the opening is a success. They are already planning on opening a second branch. As for the naysayers…God bless you.
After all the hype, I was able to try it with my friends. The best part is, LIBRE ni Ate Jenet. Thank you 🙂

Kilig ako!

Because my ina-idol na blogger Ms. Chuvaness told me I have great taste…

This comment is my second over the years that I\’ve been reading Chuvaness.
You continue to inspire me, in more ways than one. Fashion/style, on taking photos, blogging, writing, quality vs. quantity principle, family et. al.
At first there are somethings about you that I don\’t understand.  But what I like about you as blogger is your humor. As days went by, I get to know you more through your posts. I\’m hooked. Though I have to admit you had a \”lost blogging mojo\” era. I visit your blog and I find your posts bland. I\’m just glad you\’re back. Your posts are not as much as compared before, I still understand because you have a family. They have to come first.
More power!

This is my \”inarbor\” baby picture of my friend and HS classmate Tin-Tin. It\’s amazing that she was able to keep it all this time.
Thanks for the nostalgia Tin 🙂

Nostalgic Tuesday:Legendary Seniors Muse

NKKLK ang ramdomness ni Tin! Just right for today\’s Nostalgic Tuesday.

I remember clearly it was during Aiza\’s birthday (was held in their house). Our adviser Ms. Giba and some of my classmates are discussing their plans for the Annual Foundation Week. Our brains was programmed to win the Cheerdance competition. So that goes with everything sports, quiz bee, art contest etc. I was chosen the muse ( I remember Annie telling me) \”kelangan natin ng poise\” WOW meron pala ako nun. Ang di nila alam nabibili ang Poise sa Balibago per garapon. Joke Lungs! I agreed because wala akong choice tumanggi and it\’s an honor (syempre). Senior year was supposed to be a blast for it\’s our last year in HS.
The Foundation Week festivities has already begun. Actually hindi nga ako ready, kahit yung sasabihin ko walang pre-meditation kung ano na lang ang lumabas sa bibig ko . Hindi ko sinabi kay mom na muse ako. So parang wala akong nadala ng matinong damit. I asked Grace for outfit opinion that\’s why we came up with my red blouse and mini-skirt jeans. I remember the shoes was Kat\’s. Make-up done by Jasmine\’s Tito.
I was very shaky during the introductory thingy. Tejido and Miss Giba. Que Horror!
The worst part is the Q&A portion. Ang nagtanong si Sensei Dennis. And he asked my opinion of the current president\’s management of the country etchos. Hello the most hated type of question EVER! Because I\’m not political! LAME!. Epic Fail! Too bad I wasn\’t able to get Ms. Intramurals 2000 sash and title.
Even if I didn\’t win, the Legendary Seniors won the Cheerdance Competition 3 years in a row! Wooohooo! It deserves to be written in the history book of Dominican College.
I have a lot to be thankful for when I transferred in DC. May maganda at pangit na nangyari. It molded us as unique persons that we are today. Friendships are formed that hopefully would last our lifetime. Memories that could be cherished forever. If it wasn\’t for DC, I won\’t get a taste of the \”action and adventure\” that high school life has to offer. Everyone may not agree with me, but for me it\’s the best that I had.
Thank You!
Cheers!
P.S. Hindi naman ako nanawagan ng reunion…pero pwede na rin.
XOXO
